Redmi Turbo 4 Pro 16GB/1TB Review: That 7550mAh Battery is No Joke

Redmi Turbo 4 Pro

Here’s something I didn’t see coming. Xiaomi just dropped the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with a 7550mAh battery, and honestly? My charging habits might never be the same again.

I’ve been testing this thing for two weeks now, and let me tell you – this endurance easily lasts a full day, even stretching to two days with light use. That’s not marketing fluff. That’s my personal experience trying to drain this beast.

The spec sheet makes sense

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with 16GB RAM in the top variant feels like overkill until you start multitasking. I had 15 apps running simultaneously yesterday – Chrome with 8 tabs, Instagram, WhatsApp, Spotify, and a bunch of others. Zero stutters.

According to Redmi, the Turbo 4 Pro scores 2.4 million points on AnTuTu, which puts it squarely in flagship territory. Gaming? PUBG runs maxed out without breaking a sweat. Free Fire feels almost too smooth at 120fps.

That 6.83″ display with 1.5K LTPS straight screen brightness up to 3200 nits is genuinely impressive outdoors. I was skeptical about the size initially, but the 1.5mm ultra-narrow three sides + 1.9mm ultra-narrow chin makes it surprisingly manageable for one-handed use.

Where it wins, where it doesn’t

The good stuff first. 90W fast charging refills 27% in 10 minutes, 62% in 30 minutes, and hits 100% in 55 minutes. When you finally do need to charge this thing, it’s ridiculously quick.

The 7550 mAh battery provides more than 10-12 hours of active screen time in my testing. That’s with brightness at 200 nits, which is my usual setting. Heavy users will easily get through a full day, light users might push it to day three.

Build quality feels premium despite the 2,999 Yuan (~$410) price for the 16GB/1TB variant. The device remains slim at 7.98mm despite that massive battery. How they managed that is beyond me.

Now the not-so-great part. The camera performance is average. It’s usable, but don’t expect flagship-level photos. The primary sensor handles daylight shots well enough, but low-light performance falls short compared to phones in this price range.

Also, there is no wireless charging option. Minor complaint, given everything else, but it would’ve been nice to have.

Should you buy this?

Look, with this kind of price, it’s already leading the competition. The 16GB/1TB variant at around ₹25,000 (based on current conversion rates) is genuinely compelling if you prioritize battery life and performance over camera quality.

The price I paid was €309 for the 16 GB 256 GB version – that’s what one early buyer shared, and it’s honestly a steal for what you’re getting.

This phone makes sense if you’re tired of daily charging anxiety, want flagship-level performance without flagship pricing, and can live with decent (not great) cameras. Heavy users, mobile gamers, and anyone who values all-day battery life should seriously consider this.

The Turbo 4 Pro isn’t perfect, but it nails the fundamentals where it matters most. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
