An Epidiolex Alternative Review

Cannabidiol, or CBD as it is commonly known, is the second most common phytochemical found in cannabis. In fact, it is one of the handful of known natural substances in nature, which accounts for nearly 40% of this plant’s extract. Because of this, many have begun to look towards CBD as a possible treatment for ailments associated with such chronic degenerative diseases as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and MS.

How does CBD oil benefit these conditions? Recent studies in Bulgaria and Spain have shown that CBD can reduce symptoms in people who suffer from these diseases. The studies indicate that CBD slows down the progression of the disease in those who are suffering. These findings are especially promising because so many people are interested in using CBD as a natural substance for treating these afflictions. Unfortunately, until recently, CBD was only available as a pharmaceutical supplement in the form of a pill. Today, we are beginning to see more CBD oil products being offered for consumers to buy in capsule form.

So, what are the benefits of CBD oil? The primary benefit of CBD oil comes from its ability to provide relief from inflammation. Inflammation is characterized by swelling, pain and scarring. In recent years, it has been discovered that CBD may be able to reverse the effects of inflammation on our bodies.

If this is true, then there is a good reason to believe that CBD can provide medical assistance for those who are suffering from cancer, MS, Crohn’s disease, HIV/AIDS and other illnesses that involve inflammation. However, in humans, it is not known whether or not CBD is effective at relieving side effects such as pain, vomiting, anxiety and other related symptoms. This is why it is very important for consumers to understand how to properly and accurately judge the effectiveness of CBD oil. There have only been a handful of controlled human studies conducted on the subject, but they all come up with very mixed results.

Only one group has conducted human studies using CBD oil extracts from marijuana plants. This group, the North American Society for Testing and Materials (NASSM), concluded that CBD extracts from marijuana plants do not work as effectively as anticipated. Their conclusion was based on the fact that CBD produced very little amount of anti-inflammatory chemicals when absorbed into the body. CBD has been tested in animals, but none of these animal studies have yielded significant results.

Is it possible that CBD works so poorly because it doesn’t produce the same effect in humans as it does in animals? It’s possible, but it’s also quite simple to explain. When scientists create compounds in the lab, they must ensure that the compounds are safe for human consumption before they can study their effects on humans. Therefore, you will commonly find that scientists looking for potential health benefits of CBD use animals in order to test CBD’s effect on anxiety and stress. If CBD doesn’t appear to have an effect on anxiety, then it is not likely to have an effect on other, more common ailments.

However, there are some problems with the conclusions drawn from animals in this study. For one, CBD has been found to have very real drawbacks when it comes to addiction potential. As it has been discovered that the human body cannot break down and metabolize THC, the compound in marijuana, which is the main ingredient responsible for the drug’s mind-altering properties, CBD cannot be taken into the body to form its original and more traditional form. Therefore, using CBD oil can be highly addictive.

But perhaps the biggest problem with CBD oil’s potential for abuse is that it can have very real and very serious side effects on people who do not know what they are in danger of taking. People with seizures and those who are currently undergoing treatment for epilepsy are especially at risk. CBD can affect the chemical composition of the brain, which will cause a number of chemical changes, some of which will have an effect on the functions of the brain. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with epilepsy or has been prescribed Epi-LASIK eye surgery because of your condition, you should be very careful about trying CBD oil.
